I was employed on 15 August 1963 at the Ionosphere Laboratory (Ionlab) at the Danish Technical University DTU). Staff and activities at Ionlab were transferred to the Meteorological Institute (DMI) in 1966, and I have worked there since then. As of 31 July 2009 I retired from my position at DMI. However, I have kept emeritus affiliation with DMI including access to archived geophysical data. It is my plan to continue working on current research projects concerning, among others, DMI history in geomagnetic and auroral research, satellite data analyses, polar Ionospheric and geomagnetic measurements, and space weather investigations
